Overview of our tasks

SwissORGANICS represents and advocates for the cross-sector interests of businesses across Switzerland’s organic value chain. The association’s responsibilities include:

Representation of Bio Suisse licensees: This task is carried out by the Bio Suisse Licensees Working Group.

Interface between various organic stakeholders: SwissORGANICS actively supports the interests of organic businesses by serving as a link between its members, authorities, and other stakeholders. This includes regular exchanges with partner organizations and a well-established annual exchange meeting with the FSVO, FOAG, and FOPH.

Understanding of organic law: As an organization, SwissORGANICS promotes understanding of Swiss and EU organic law and actively contributes to consultations and legislative projects.

Shared vision for the future of organic: SwissORGANICS is convinced that today’s societal challenges in agriculture and nutrition can only be addressed effectively by expanding organic production and consumption.

Handling of residues: Preventing and dealing with residues in organic products is a challenge for all organic businesses. SwissORGANICS provides its members with guidelines for good procedural and manufacturing practices to prevent and deal with residues in organic products.
